You Spin Me Round

Mason likes to make himself dizzy.

And pushing the stroller around.

Part-time daycare

We have been looking for a daycare provider for Mason. We'd like to send him 2 or 3 days a week, so he can socialize with other kids and give GrandPa and GrandMa some deserving break. In parks, playgrounds, or when kids come over, we always notice how Mason is fascinated by other kids and wants to play with them. Now that he can walk, drink and eat on his own (almost), he can join toddler classes with more activities. We found a few and really liked the one our neighbors send their kids to (Gateway Academy). Although they have a waiting list until next March (oops, should have started the process earlier) for full-time slots, there is a rare part-time opening starting in mid August. We're planning to sign Mason up starting in early September, after we return from our Labor-Day weekend trip to Atlanta.

We're also hoping that daycare will help him get his first words. At home, we use a mixture of English, Shanghainese and Portuguese, I'm sure he is confused. Although he seems to understand words in each language, he hasn't responded with more than "dada". Lately he screams and get frustrated if we don't understand what he wants, so we've been trying to be more consistent in sign language.

Now he has the hollywood star look. I bet you're wondering how we get him to keep those glasses on...
