9 months

Mason turned 9 months old last Thursday. We had his 9-month check up this Tuesday (4/1) and here are his stats: 23 lbs 10 oz (90th %ile), 31.4 inches tall (off the charts) and 18.8 inches in head circumference (97th %ile).

We know he is big. As we take him to childrens' play areas, we see kids an inch or two shorter, obviously older, walk or run by him. At this point, since he can only crawl and stand up while holding to something, Bill or I are still in the play area with him playing "defense" and making sure he doesn't get knocked out by the older kids. But pretty soon, he will be able to fend for himself. The nickname Bam Bam seems to be catching on.

He is recovering from his second cold and first ear infection. He had amoxicillin for 10 days, which was not fun for him to take or for us to feed it to him. We are glad it is over.
