We had planned to go to Toronto for our friends Vivian and Jon's wedding. Just as we had everything planned (air tickets, hotel, car, passports, new suit, dress and nice clothese for Mason for the wedding, tickets to CN tower from Vivian, plans to go to Niagara Falls on Sunday), Mason came down with the flu. First couple of days with a low grade fever, wanting to be held (which is unusual since he started walking), and waking up almost every 1 to 2 hours at night. Then followed by a few of days of cough, running nose and congestion. But he has mainly returned to normal promptly as our long weekend ended! We are sorry we had to cancel, but it was for the best. Mason wouldn't have been a good traveller and wedding guest. We prefer to reschedule later this Summer so we can spend more time visitng with Vivian and John.
We still made the best of our long weekend in Denver. We went to Boulder Creek Festival on Saturday, both Bill and I got separate spa treatments on Saturday afternoon, went to Cherry Creek Mall and a great toy store called Kazoo Toys on Sunday (see Mason with one of his new toys), and planted some flowers on our tree best on Monday.
