Copa

It is World Cup time!  There has been a lot of controversy over the amount of money Brazil has spent building stadiums and getting ready for the World Cup.  There has been protests against the government and FIFA over the last many months.  But it is the World Cup, "Copa", and it is time to set those aside and cheer for the "Selecao". 

I have many memories of watching the World Cup growing up, good and bad, but all full of emotion.  It is true that Futebol is more than just a game, it is a religion in Brazil.  It is the one thing that unites across social economic boundaries.  I hope that is the case this time around too.
