New menu special

Since Mason is teething, we decided to introduce some rice cereal, the first step towards solid foods. We are all practicing feeding with a spoon. A lot of cereal still ends up on his face, and not in his mouth. He does seem interested, so we will continue to give him a little bit of rice cereal at night.

Mason has been sleeping well at night. He typically goes to sleep between 8 and 9 pm. Last night, we put him in his crib while he was still awake, kissed him good night and turned off the lights. We watched the video monitor as he tossed and turned, but he didn't fuss. 5 minutes later he was asleep!

But we have still been waking him up at midnight for a feeding (Bill mostly), since his evening feeding was around 7 pm. He goes right back to sleep and wakes up around 7 am. Most morning he wakes up and play by himself. When we go to pick him up, he greets us with a big smile.

Now with rice cereal, he should last longer between feedings and our goal would be to have our last feeding at about 9 or 10 pm, and let him sleep until morning. We will try a new schedule this weekend and see how it goes. The weekends is typically when we try out new schedule changes.
