Yes, Mason is teething at 4 months! He gets those genes from his Daddy. Both Bill and his sister Shawn started teething early at around 4 months.
Yesterday was Mason's first day with his nanny Jill. Jill will be here all week, until Bill's mom Helen and Jack arrives to take care of him next week. Mason was fussier than usual with Jill, and she noticed some symptoms that pointed to teething. Once she pointed that out, I checked his gums and I could fell and see two bumps in his lower center gums.
He has all the classic symptoms: he gets fussy out of a sudden, lots of drooling, biting and gnawing on his hands and any object he can hold, a little coughing, runny nose, chin rash, and cheek rubbing. We haven't noticed any fever and he is still sleeping well at night. Let's hope the teeth come in quickly and not too painfully.
