Mason started daycare again. He went part time for about 2 months back when he was 15 months old. He was constantly getting sick and getting me sick during my first trimester. So, we decided to pull him out and re-enroll him later.
He started this past Monday full-time, which was a Holiday to both Bill and I, so we had a day off. I am sure he remembers the place, although he is in a new toddler class (18-24 months), but some of the same kids are in there. He didn't eat lunch at all yesterday, but we are assured he will adjust to their routine. There were tears at drop off, and I am sure that will continue for a while. It breaks my heart to see him cry wanting to come with us, but he just needs to adjust, socialize with other kids and get experiences we cannot provide at home. I think of parents that have to start daycare much earlier, and every parent needs to go through this even if there is stay-home parents.
My parents have been in China for 3 weeks, and they will be back in another week. We miss them and how they spoil us! But it has been good for Mason to bond with us and his other grandparents (Yaya and Mimi were here taking care of him for a week).
Daycare will continue for Mason even after they are back, giving them a little break and giving us the chance to get ready for Audrey, due April 6th. :-)

Take heart! With Livia it took about 3 weeks (when she was 11 months old) for her to get properly settled into daycare... but then she loved it! And then, of course, we up and left Oxford and are now in Brisbane, so at some point, we will be doing the whole process all over again...
