We still had to pack a lot of stuff to take with us, but got some big items in Atlanta (pack'n'play from Bill's aunt, Sandra got us the diapers, and Mason's car seat with the car rental). Audrey in the baby bjorn, Mason in the stroller, 1 medium size duffel, 1 diaper bag and my purse - very manageable with 2 parents.
I didn't worry about Audrey. I discretely breastfed her before we took off and during decent. She slept the rest of the flight (both there and back). She might have cried for 5-10 seconds.
Mason had his own seat - he was by the window with Daddy next to him, and I was holding Audrey on the aisle seat. He loved looking out at all the planes, but when the plane started to take off, he turned to us and said "No, No, No..." Although he had flown before, he didn't really remember his past experiences. Bill hugged him and tried to get him to look out at the clouds/sky and Mason promptly closed the window! He was fine after that. We had prepared things to keep him entertained. I had put stickers, books and crayolas in his backpack. Bill had loaded a couple of movies on his iPhone. On the way to Atlanta, Mason was awake the whole flight. We killed 30 minutes with the movie and the stickers were a hit! On the way back, we got him to fall asleep only 15 minutes into the flight and he didn't wake up until we were descending.
With both kids asleep, I turned to Bill and said "we need to take a picture!"

hey, i think that's the exact same pig payton has--cost plus? cool!!!
Yes it is! Grammie Helen had given him a pig that moved and made noises, but after he threw up on it, we had to find a more friendly pig that could be washed to replace it. We got two others pigs(different ones) as backup, but this one is his favorite.
