Hockey

Mason's best friend Matthew's mom told us about a Groupon for hockey lessons.  $45 for 5-6 weeks of 1-hr lessons that includes skate rentals, a bargain!  The kids really have fun and get a workout.  They are all sweaty after an hour of skating, learning better balance, falling and getting up, how to handle the puck and some scrimmage.  We decided to enroll them for the next session, also on the Groupon deal, so I figure we should get him some proper gear.  Not cheap - it probably off set the Groupon.  We got his helmet, gloves, elbow pads and jersey new, but found shin pads, shorts, socks and shoulder pads used / free in the pile of equipment passed on from one class to the next.  We hope he continues to like it!

Next session, Audrey will also learn to skate at the same time, also on the Groupon discount.  We can't wait to have both on ice and will post videos.
