Do girls have more to say?

Looking back, it look Mason until close to 2 years to develop his vocabulary. Audrey, on the other hand, has been saying a number of words for the past 2 months. She probably has 25-50 words, including:
  • Mommy
  • Daddy
  • Mason
  • Sasha - used to refer to our dog Sasha, any dog, or animal,
  • Gong Gong and Bu Bu
  • pacey - not used at school, but at home she won't let it go
  • please
  • thank you - she is very polite :-)
  • shoes - one of her first words
  • socks
  • water
  • upstairs
  • outside
  • mine - oh yes, that one normally comes during a fight for something
  • bummer - she said that the other day as Mason dropped pizza on auntie Heather's white carpet. Ha!
  • penguin - her stuffed penguin is her favorite toy
  • ball
  • car
  • nose
  • eyes
  • ear
  • toes
  • hair
  • trash
  • cookie
  • candy - thanks to Halloween for this one

and repeats on command most of the time. Of course, she understands much more that she can say, but she seems to have a lot to say already!
