Breakfast with Santa

Before we signed up and won the visit from Santa from the Westminster Fire Dept, I had signed us up to have breakfast with Santa at the Denver Zoo. I wanted the kids to have time with Santa, without lining up at the mall. The lines last year were very long and they charge you for the pictures (you cannot take your own pictures)!

The breakfast with Santa was this past Saturday. The breakfast buffet was okay, it included chocolate chip pancakes, but Mason didn't eat much of them saying my was better. Good boy! He got to sit on Santa's lap, but Audrey was not interested in being too close to Santa.

We got to see and pet a snake, a baby alligator and a turtle in the room next to the breakfast area. Afterwards, we walked around the zoo. Because we were there before the zoo opened, and the cooler weather keeps the crowds away, we had many of the exhibits for ourselves. The animals were a lot more willing to come closer to the windows. It was a great time!

Here are a couple of pictures of the Longmont Christmas event that we went with Michele and Josie. Mason was running towards every dressed up Christmas character (Frosty, Gingerbread Boy and Girl, Trees, etc), while Josie would run in fear in the opposite direction. I got to say, the Gingerbread boy and girl were creepy looking.
