Dressing up, trickle treating, pumpkin carving, decorating, roasting pumpkin seeds and passing out candy, we did it all. Halloween is not my favorite holiday, especially on a Wednesday, but it was fun. Audrey dressed up as Rapunzel and Mason as a ninja, both costumes we had already. We did get a Rapunzel wig that both kids tried on, but Audrey refused to wear.
We only had about 80 kids come by, compared to last year's 140. Maybe it is because Jessica's abduction story is still fresh in people's minds, or maybe due to Halloween falling on a Wednesday. The combination of the two resulted in a lot of left over candy!
My work had a pumpkin carving competition and the home offices could send in a picture. The number of submissions must have been low because I won second place with the Angry Birds pumpkins. The $50 pays for the pumpkins and decorations!
