Unique pumpkin patch experience

I was really dreading going to a pumpkin patch this year.  I didn't want the rides, lines, and people.  Audrey had already gone with her class on a field trip to Anderson Farms and Mason didn't care to go.  I wanted pumpkins for carving, and didn't want them from the store either.

Bill remembered a sign for pumpkins about 15 minutes North of us from coming home one day.  We went on search and it turned out for be an old farmer who has been there for 48 years and now all homes have been built around him.  He had a small patch with various pumpkin sizes to pick from, and as we drove up he offered to take the kids to round up his sheep.  He had a dog named Blue to help.  And he invited us back in early February when all his sheep would have had their babies!  Such a unique and authentic experience!
