Shawn and Lena came up for a couple of nights. They went with Bill mountain biking on Saturday, and I went shopping at the outlets with them on Sunday. They also cooked us some delicious food!
Shawn, Bill and Lena also went waterskiing in the afternoon, after mountain biking for 2 hours in the morning! It was Lena's first time waterskiing in 20+ years. She got up on her 2nd try and was able to get over the wake on her 3rd try. Very impressive! Here is a video of Bill waterskiing.
The only bummer of the trip was Bill getting an ear infection. We've been swimming almost daily, plus his dive in the aquarium tank. He was in a great deal of pain and running a fever on the last day. His Dad started him on some ear drops and antibiotics and we hope he will get better soon. I like to joke that he got something in his ear during the dive, and has a fish growing in there or fish poop.
We left on Monday morning just as it started to rain from whatever it was left out of hurricane Lee. Good timing! Both kids slept for part of the plane ride. What a great trip!

Lake Lanier
For the second part of our trip, we went up to Gainesville to visit Yaya and Mimi. Again we did a lot of swimming (Mason is becoming more confident in the water), went on boat rides and drove around in the golf cart. Yaya and Mimi also took the kids to Ink (an interactive kids town). The airplane (a real decommissioned airplane) was the coolest thing there. Yaya took the kids to the dock to feed a few very large catfish that have been hanging out there (they've been getting frequent feedings from the residents).
