Mason is 3!

We have been planning and counting down to Mason's 3rd birthday. We are excited that he is advancing to the Toddler 3 class in school, as many of his closest friend have already moved up in the last couple of months. He will be in that class for a full year, and learn how to write his name, the alphabet, use a computer, and many other activities to get him ready for Toddler 4 and then Kindergarden. While other parents may choose to homeschool their kids, these are teachings that Bill and I are not skilled to provide. We are happy to have Mason at a place he can learn them and share the experience with his little friends.

We had Mason's birthday part at a place called My Gym, where they have balance beams, trampolines, zip lines and pools filled with balls. It was a great place for Mason's age group, and the owners do a great job running the party, engaging the kids and directing them through activities. It was 2 hours filled with fun! All we had to bring were the ballons, paper goods and the cake, which they served and cleaned up. Worth every penny! We have 12 kids including Mason and Audrey, 5 kids were from Mason's daycare and his closest friends there. Audrey is walking like a champ, and had a great time walking around, trying out the toys, climbing through the tunnels and participating where she could. It was awesome! I think she had as good of a time as Mason. Here are the pictures from the birthday party.

I made Mason a special pancake for his birthday in the morning and had a couple of our friends over for a BBQ before the party. We also chose to open the birthday gifts back at home, after Mason's nap. He didn't take his usual long nap, I think he was too excited. Here are the pictures from home, before and after the party.

He loves all the new toys he got, especially the car truck carries, matchbox cars and the new crane truck! Boys will be boys.

We leave on Thursday for Atlanta, where we will see Nai Nai, Grandpa Jack, Yaya, Mimi, aunt Diana, aunt Shawn, and aunt Mary and celebrate Mason's birthday again.
