We had a lazy morning, but managed to get out of the house by 10 am for some brunch. We discovered that Mason can eat an adult portion of waffles and the kid size won't do any longer. After he ate his half, another quarter from Bill and a few bites of Audrey's, we headed to the pool.
The plan was to go to Gong Gong and BuBu's pool. But we decided to check how much day passes were at Lifetime Fitness. They had a gigantic facility 7 miles from us with an indoor and an outdoor pool. Their day pass is a bargain $15 per adult and the kids were free. Bill an I also took turns working out as the other watched the kids in the swimming pool. We had a lot of fun.
We would consider membership if it was closer. 15-20 minutes doesn't sound like far, but it would stretch the time we need to workout in the middle of the day by at least 30 minutes and become the excuse not to go. Right now, we normally go at lunch and fitness 19 is literally around the corner. Our gym is definitely very basic, but enough to do cardio and our training sessions. Maybe in a few years when the kids are older to take advantage of lifetime's kids programs and can swim on their own. For now, dropping in for the day fee is perfect.
We grilled for dinner and celebrated with cupcakes and cake pops from Tee and Cakes in Boulder (we picked hose up yesterday).
Tomorrow morning Bill leaves for Southampton on a work trip, and I leave Tuesday morning for a conference in Nashville. We are grateful Gong Gong and BuBu are back and available to watch the kids.
