Weeds and more weeds

Through all the spring snow and rain, the weeds had survived and grown to a knee  height and taller.  It was also getting dense around most of the rocky areas.  We haven't been using any chemicals for the past few years because of the kids and tried a company in Boulder that uses an organic mixture.  It worked well last year, so we got them to come out while we were in DC to spray around the yard. Within a week, everything was mostly brown, but left us with the task to pull them out!  Bill and I spent a few hours over a few days, even on Father's Day cleaning them out, and there is still some on the side of the yard.  We also got a mower's edge put in, and for now the yard looks great!
